PAIN

Within daily practice pain is one of the most important indications. Depending on the type of pain and the nature (acute or chronic), my aim is to reduce the complaints on the short term. The impact of the acupuncture treatments is evaluated after 3 to 4 treatments.

ACUPUNCTURE for SPORTS

Within this discipline, three aspects are important for recreative as wel as professional sporters :

  • treating sport injuries,
  • recovery
  • (mental) relaxation

EYE PROBLEMS

Acupuncture stimulates the flow of energy and blood, increasing oxygen and nutrients to the eyes, optic nerve and brains. With acupuncture many eye problems can be treated. Not only inflamated, itchy, tearing, burning or dry eyes, blurred vision, but also the following eye problems can be treated with acupuncture:

– Macular Degeneration (wet & dry type)

– Retinitis Pigmentosa (Tunnelvision)

– Amblyopia (lazy eye)

– Sjögren’s disease

GYNAECOLOGICAL COMPLAINTS

Gynaecological problems include a wide range of complaints. The equilibrium within the hormonal balance of the woman can get disturbed in each stage of life : irregular menstruation cycle, premenstrual syndrome, menopause problems and infertility. Acupuncture can help this type of complaints.

RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS AND ALLERGIES

Acupuncture strenghtens the immune system, relaxes the chest and respiratory tract and reduces the production of mucus. Breathing becomes calmer and deeper. Acupuncture has a beneficial effect in the following conditions : asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic sinusitus and nose, throat and eye allergies.

GASTRO-INTESTINAL DISORDERS

Acupuncture is effective in the treatment of a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders : stomachache and -inflammation, nausea, belching , diarrhea, constipation, colitis ulcerosa, Crohn’s disease and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

DROPFOOT

Acupuncture stimulates the flow of energy and blood and improves the supply of nutrients to the foot muscles and tendons. Hereby the foot can regain its strength and functionality. This results in an almost normal and comfortable walk, an increased range of motion and a better quality of life.
